Squirrel Lookout

Trainer Back in Service after 15 years
I got my trainer repairs finished and took it up first
expecting problems but it didn't have any so I let
Ron fly it for a while until it ran out of gas and I made
a dead stick landing with it.

Biplane Final Flight
I was doing some low flybys when a gust of wind forced
my biplane to the ground. I was inverted so it landed level
and flat, just upside down. The tail went first, then the top
wing, then the prop and by that time it stopped. The fuse
wasn't harmed much along with the bottom wing as it was on
top at the time. Other than destroying thing it actually looked
pretty cool disintegrating to a stop. Darn gust of wind anyhow.
So here are the final pics unless I repair it which I think I
might do. Just for the challenge of it if nothing else.

Camera Sensor Cleaning
After owning my camera since my brother's wedding it
was time to clean a very dirty sensor. Here is the before
and after one cleaing. Still got more to do, but here are 2
pics from before and after.

Cuyahoga Valley Bike Track
I took pictures from my 20 mile bike ride and here they are.

Biplane/Heli Flights
I took my plane out after repairing the vibration damages and
also balanced my prop and what a difference that made. I also
repaired my heli and this was its first flight after repair.

Biplane Maiden Flight
Although it was a successful flight as far as it came down in
one piece, the engine shook all the bolts loose so I only took
it up once and here are some pics a friend of mine took for
me.

Plastic Models
From all the models I built as a kid I only have a few left. Why?
Well, after I built them, I eventually got tired of looking at them and
shot them up with my pellet gun. I had fun building them and then had
fun shooting them. Now I don't want to do either, build or shoot them.

I took my Mom to ash cave because it has wheelchair access.

World of miniature
Instead of buying a Tilt-Shift lens to make stuff look like
it is miniature I found a website here that you can upload
a picture to and get a tilt shift type image which looks like
it is a model.

Micro Bible
I bought some Bibles that fit on a stamp sized film.
I had to test out my microscope and the 100x zoom
wasn't enough. I did find out the print is actually
upside down from the main text. I got the Bible from Here.

HOF Grand Parade 2008
Here are a few pictures and maybe movie if I post it that
I took at the Hall of Fame parade. I wanted the ability
to be able to take movies also so I strapped on a strait
flash bracket to the 20d camera and mounted my digital
camcorder to the bracket as well. So now I have pictures
and movies.

Homeless Bird
I took the trash out this morning (12:30am) and when I came back
I found this bird sitting on my antenna tower. I just figure it was
homeless as it should have been home in its nest and not
sitting on my tower.

High speed flash sync

Macro with Canon 20D

Pinhole photography with Canon 20D
Here are some pics using a pinhole body cap I got on ebay.
The hole is supposed to be f180 and a smaller hole would
have given better focus to stuff, but interesting photos to play
with none the less. Most pictures are set to 30 seconds no
matter what ISO I had it set on. If the picture was too dark I
just went to a higher ISO until I got my picture to come out ok.
Here is a test picture anyway.

My New Heli taken with new Camera.
I took this picture with my new Canon PowerShot
Pro 1 which is an 8mp camera. I cropped the picture, but
it is really huge. The file size is below 500k down from
a 3meg file. Most pics average 3-5meg in size.

Trips with my Mom
I have some pics of journeys that I took my Mom on.
No she didn't have to walk, she took her electric
cart, or at least the one that she isn't trying to sell
anyway. It even fits in the back of her hatch too.

My Little Electric Heli (Piccolo)
These pics are VERY big!
over 1 meg in size.
This piccolo heli by Ikarus is a very light
helicopter made to be flown indoors which
it does fairly well. I recommend flying in
as big a place as you can and if you fly
outdoors, do it with no wind! Unless you
are an experienced pilot which I am not.
The heli does very well for holding
together when crashed, but it does
break. I like flying this heli better
than I do my lmh-100, but it holds
up even better for crashes.
These look good but don't fly well.

Lightning strike at my house
Here will be my list of pictures from the damage
that my house took when it got a direct hit from
lightning! I was in the shower on a cement floor.
Boy did that hurt!
This picture is what is left from my cable line
going to my directv box. I only found a small
piece of insulation with nothing inside.

These are the first movies I took with my new video camera
that I purchased from HKDay.com. I wasn't sure how I was
going to mount it. But I figured one out. I found out from the
video that I need some sort of dampening on the camera
from the plane to get rid of the vibration. The video is
great until I rev the plane, that is when I get some
distortion and vibration. Kind of cool video either way,
and I will be working on getting better results from the
camera after isolating it. I used a 30 frame per second
video capture to make the files.
